  3. I'm 99% finished with a book now, too! Though mine is a test prep book written for a client — nothing like yours. But still, feels good to be almost done with the damn thing. It shall be in another hour or so.

As for you and your book: CONGRATULATIONS!!! And have a lovely weekend!

  4. Don't Fairy Lights make all the difference?! Christmas carols around a piano are some of my favorite childhood memories.

  5. Yay for nearly finished books - am just laying it out for Amazon's print on demand service - so much easier than I thought it would be - and free!

  8. Well done on the book. I love your weekly joy pockets idea! I had a beautiful Earth Pathways diary a couple of years ago that had a little box for gratitudes at the end of each week. Put me in a good mood every time I filled it in.

    This week for me:
Having more contact with my longest-serving friend, who was my best friend at school.

My husband bringing me breakfast in bed each morning.

The amazing smiles and cute noises my 9-week-old son has given me.

Having some time to do some yoga last night.

    Mince pies!

Seeing my cousin and her fiance.

Having a brief but beautiful late-night walk under the full moon's light.

Baby and I spending some time with my sister-in-law, who is one of the most empathic, kind, considerate people I've ever met.

Hearing this morning from someone who holds a special place in my heart that her baby girl was born peacefully and healthily last night.

  9. I remember making hot chocolate on top of my grandparents wood burning stove- they lived in the mountains of N Georgia, we are too far south for a stove like that- (SW FL) it's currently 82 degrees :) but, at night, we can still have hot chocolate :) merry christmas!
