I was in the bathroom at the beginning of another hair-raising day, promising that I would try even harder to keep my patience with my kids, and to forgive them all their misdemeanors, and then I was thinking how mums all round the world might be starting their day like this - give me strength, I prayed out loud, let us get through breakfast at least - and then I realised how relevant the Lord's Prayer was, but as I started through it I realised once again how male-centric it was (which is the main thing to push me away from the Protestant faith of my childhood) - so let's do a mother's prayer I thought, using the same skeleton, which is relevant.

Welcome Allison, thanks for calling in!
